After that, I'd call Verizon and give them the ESN off the phone (usually under the battery). They can tell you if it can be re-activated on their network. @Judy,

This phone is locked by a password from the prior owner and the phone will not re-set. It is through Verizon...will their site help us unlock and re-program this phone so we can use it?
