Trip to Greece: Monasteries at Meteora
The second stop on our trip to Greece was at the Monasteries of Meteora, made famous in the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only. These monasteries are truly amazing, as they are built on top of vertical cliff spires that jut several thousand feet straight into the sky. Here’s a few more shots I took on our way through the monasteries. There are quite a few of them, and it’s a wonder how any of them could be built even with today’s technologies, let alone that of a thousand years ago.
