Weather.com’s new interactive radar helps with flight planning
Weather.com has a new interactive radar map that allows you to click and drag the map in a fashion similar to that found on Google Maps. You can pan across the country, stopping at any point to watch the map in motion, giving you a quick once-over of conditions. This could be a nice aid in flight planning, as it allows pilots to get a quick idea of the conditions along their entire flight route in a visual manner, and will also help the weekend flier decide whether or not that particular day is a ‘go.’ Also, it makes for a nifty distraction at work.
