Xbox 360 owners get a new-look Live experience today
Xbox 360 owners will see quite an interesting change in Xbox Live today if they run system updates. First off, there’s a new Aero-like menu interface, and some of the avatar/account mess seems to be more clearly defined. Most importantly, however, Xbox owners will now be able to stream video from Netflix’s instant viewing feature, meaning that you won’t need a dedicated PC hooked up to your TV to really take advantage of online viewing. However, GameStop is reporting that there are still some unresolved “licensing issues” regarding which movies and shows will stream to the Xbox 360, so be prepared for some bumps along the way.
